What it is
An immersive workout for VR and AR headsets, built with the
Immersive Web SDK (IWSDK). It's inspired by rhythm-and-fitness games
like Les Mills BODYCOMBAT—punch targets flying at you in time with the workout—but with
a twist: it mixes in a mental workout too. Between the physical combos,
quiz questions appear and you have to punch the right answer, so you're breaking
a sweat and thinking on your feet at the same time.
The idea is that a great workout shouldn't just tire out your body. By weaving quiz
questions into the flow of punches, the game keeps your brain engaged too—so a session
trains reflexes, cardio, and recall all at once.
The twist: punch your answers
A question pops up in your field of view, and the possible answers float toward you as
targets. Instead of tapping a button, you commit to an answer by physically throwing a
punch at it—keeping the momentum of the workout going while adding a layer of decision
making. It turns "study" into something you do with your whole body. The quiz angle grew
out of my own Geography
Learner project—here the questions get punched instead of tapped.
Status
This is still very much a conceptual work in progress—an early
exploration of what the format can be rather than a finished product. That said, it's
already playable online in a compatible headset (or browser) today. Grab a headset and
give it a go.
